Black Code

Elijah Zahir, aka “Black Code”, is an 18-year-old Producer/Engineer from Fort Wayne, Indiana. He currently is a freshman at IUPUI, studying Music Technology. Black Code started in the production world around the age of 5, playing with his father’s equipment that he often let use, to learn the basics of music production. Continuing throughout life, he gained valuable knowledge and experience across all aspects of music, including DJing, as well as mixing and mastering. His father was a crucial role in his life throughout his early and even current years, handing down knowledge, and even some of his equipment.

Black Code has a wide range of styles throughout his music, ranging from Hip- Hop/Trap, R&B, Neo Soul, Ambient, and even Pop/Dance, to name a few. Black Code takes pride and great effort into his mixing, arranging, and overall feel of a track, to make sure the listener is always pleased with what they hear. His primary choices of DAW’s include Ableton, FL Studio, and Maschine, but also has experience in other programs, such as Logic, Pro Tools, and Reason.

He plans to release several projects and singles over the course of 2022, including instrumental albums and EP’s, as well as collaborative projects with vocal artists and other producers.
